I was outbid for a set of Messer Turtle salt a shakers and pepper. I own livestock Messer items. Thanks for starting the project. I own salt & pepper shakers in the form of rabbits.

Will, that was quite an auction price wasn't it ? Was there and they sure looked good to me,
Our personal collection includes about 25 pieces of Messer and I love the form, the purity of the porcelain design, the quality and level of workmanship Joe and Eunice employed.
Have the Turtles in Salt and Pepper, Rabbits in white and grey ~ S&P, also in figurines, the Cattle in Holstein and Angus, a set of figrunes in white face with brand on flank- small, several coyotes, a few various vases, the Devils Tower pieces, and the best for last , the Nude on Ashtray in grey, peach and white colors.

Don, yes the price was high but I think ebay may have gone even higher. Have Holsteins set. A grazing Herford Bull. How lucky to have the nudies.
