"It was 1948... Joe was going to the KC Art Institute and in the photo above was using his new oil paint box and pallete.  He used the same pallete for all his paintings and the paint got pretty thick as he never scraped it off . The layers almost told which painting he currently was working on by which colors were at the top."  ~Eunice

On summer break from Art school in Kansas City Joe was hired to paint this' "'Branding Scene" for a cafe in Bowman. It was an oil painting 12 ft. long. About 1949" ~Eunice
